STORMWATER DRAINAGE NETWORK

Stormwater drainage networkTRIPOLI, ARCADIA, GR

As per the latest environmental and infrastructure national directives for storm water management the local authorities had to develop drainage strategies and detailed drainage design to support sustainable development.

It was important to ensure the necessary drainage systems are in place to protect the urban environment of Tripolis.

Our team completed the detailed design for highways drainage and examined solutions available impermeable surfaces draining. The proposed stormwater network had the same route as an existing sewerage network and the discharge height posed limitations.

The project aimed to solve flooding problems that have been frequent in the area.

Our team assessed the potential risks and modelled various scenarios of reducing flooding phenomena in the area.

Concrete pipes of 1600 mm were chosen, as the optimal pipe option due to the special construction challenges and customized solutions were designed.
